The gods have forced Orpheus and Eurydice to repeat their tragedy for centuries, but this time everyone (and everything) is a bit more queer than usual: tomboys, fairies, gods, and god-ish bartenders abound. Join this cast of characters for a celebration of queerness, genderfullness, and staking claim on our own story.

Content Advisory

Please note the script includes mentions of stalking and violence against women, homophobia, and transphobia. The show also includes depictions of needles for the use of HRT. However, this is a show created by and for queer people. This is a space not tolerant of the kill-your-gays trope. Eurydice is not an exception to this.

Elijah Brown, they/he
(Orpheus) is so honored to be a part of this production! Their recent credits include: Romeo and Juliet (Lady Montague) and Macbeth (Caithness) with Commonwealth Shakespeare Company,  Power Play (Sarah) Artist's Theater of Boston, Antigone (Creon),  As You like It (Duke Senior) and The Wolves (u/s #00 and #13) with Emerson College. So much love to this beautiful cast who has spread such an immense amount of love throughout this process <3 Enjoy the show!!

Isabel Ginsberg, she/her
(Eurydice) is thrilled to be making her Fresh Ink debut! Regional credits: Sweeney Todd, The Crucible, Man of La Mancha (Seacoast Repertory Theatre). Educational credits: Into the Woods, Next to Normal, Spring Awakening (Emerson Stage). Film/TV: Acquiescence, Julia S2. Isabel holds a BFA in Musical Theatre from Emerson College. She would like to thank the cast and creatives for their hard work on this gorgeous show as well as her friends and family for their unconditional support. @isabelginsberg

Lucy Bertolet, she/her (Daisy) is ecstatic to be making her stage debut with Fresh Ink Theatre. In November she performed as Mortima the Fax Technician for Trapology Boston's Onyx Veil Gala. She is a fresh graduate from Emerson College with a BFA in Theatre and Performance. Previous Emerson College credits include Lieutenant Blake in EIV's Speedwell and Mrs. Who in a Wrinkle and Time. She has focused most of her training on Shakespeare, loves working as a stagehand and/or lightboard operator, and has a minor in Science. She would like to thank everyone at Fresh Ink for the amazing work they do, the cast and crew for their brilliance, Ted Hewlett for his mentorship, and her family for their support.

Kulfi Jaan, he/she/they (Hades) from the House of Vagistan, is a Desi drag deity and your local courtesan. Audiences are known to melt in the palm of Kulfi’s hand as he turns up the heat with his charismatic swagger and sensual power. Recently, Kulfi Jaan won the burlesque competition Lucky 13, made it to the Top 3 of Serve Star!, and opened for Chappell Roan at House of Blues. A few of his favorite roles to play on stage have been Roxie in Chicago and Moonface in Red Rainbow. It’s always a thrill to witness this singing, dancing, emoting, genderfucking force ascend from the Underworld! Catch Kulfi's upcoming shows and info about the "Bollywood is (a) drag" class they're teaching on Instagram @the.kulfi.jaan

Matthew Suchecki, they/she (Apollo) is a recent graduate of UMass Amherst where they studied computer science and theater as a double major. They have been acting for about two decades now, and hope to continue acting for decades more to come. Some of my favorite roles that they have played include Orlando in Orlando, Teddy Brewster in Arsenic and Old Lace, and Emcee in Cabaret. For those who may be curious, they are a Leo sun, a Gemini moon, and a Cancer rising. For those who may not be curious, HAHA TOO LATE. Anyways, outside of acting, they appreciate all of the arts, and am an especially avid reader and writer. They are also a huge fan of all kinds of nerdy things from D&D to gaming, and everything in between. “I am thrilled to be taking part in Orpheus in the Overworld as Apollo, and hope you all enjoy the show!”

Rebekah Brunson, she/they (Artemis) is so excited to be working with Fresh Ink for the first time! Some of her recent credits include Actors' Shakespeare Project's Taming of the Shrew (Assistant Director), Boston Center for the Arts' Devil, Witch, Slave (Tituba), and Commonwealth Shakespeare Apprentice Repertory Company's Julius Caesar (Brutus).  Rebekah received a BFA in Theatre and Performance and a minor in Music History and Culture from Emerson College in 2020.  In her free time, Rebekah loves making character-specific playlists, studying languages, and creating BookTok content (@bekahinthebooks).  She wants to thank her friends and family for their constant support! BIG LOVE!
